Aberdeen Harbour Expansion

Voe Marine was contracted by Dragados (UK) to provide marine support during the construction of the new harbour at Nigg Bay, Aberdeen. We provided vessels and other marine equipment during the initial phase of the development.

The work included dive support, dredging support and acting as line vessels for assisting bulk carriers arriving with rock armour. We also assisted with the placing of the concrete caissons, which involved working closely with various other contractors.

This was a challenging project for our Team, often working in strong tidal currents and exposes locations working in locations exposed to the North Sea using 4-point moorings to hold position close to the new breakwater.
