As a Voe Welder you will make a valuable contribution towards a wide variety of interesting projects.

Day to day responsibilities are varied but may include:

  • Interpretation of fabrication drawings, weld procedure documentation and weld inspection procedures and be responsible for accuracy of own work.

  • Checking drawing details on the weld procedures and preparations match and are in accordance with the job specification.

  • Carry out welding operations in accordance with the correct weld procedure and current work instructions.

  • Undertake dressing of welds to meet standards.

  • General housekeeping, cable management and safe working practices in the fabrication base and throughout the facility.

ROLE OVERVIEW

  • Qualified to ISO 9606-1 or AWS D1.1

  • Welding Process FCAW (136) in preferably Full Penetration & Fillet welds ( Fillet Weld only will be considered)

  • Welding Certificates up to date, stamped within the last 6 months.

  • Experience in heavy engineering

  • Can weld in different positions

  • Ability to understand engineering/fabrication drawings

  • Team Player

  • Optimistic and positive attitude

  • Work within a fast paced environment to a high standard

  • Accurate and pays attention to detail

  • Good communication skills and able to work alongside colleagues to ensure client requirements are met

  • Works in a conscientious and safe manner and can adhere to all QHSE requirements
