As Voe Marines QA/QC Weld Inspector, you will make a valuable contribution towards a wide variety of interesting projects. You will be based at our Marine Fabrication base in Port of Blyth, but travel may be required to any offsite jobs.

Day to day responsibilities are varied but may include:

  • Ensuring the quality of every activity, precise knowledge of all aspects of engineering construction.
  • Compiling & overseeing QA/QC documents of the complete project, including certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports and site instruction/observations, permanent materials delivered, and other important QA/QC documents.
  • Developing and determining all standards to perform inspections and tests on all procedures, oversee all testing methods, and maintain high-quality standards for all processes.
  • Reviewing the quality of all materials at the site, ensure compliance with all project specifications
    and quality, and collaborate with the department for all material procurement and quality
    materials.
  • Supervising the effective implementation of all test and inspection schedules, ensure adherence to all procedures, and coordinate with various teams to perform quality audits on processes.
  • Assisting employees in ensuring knowledge of all quality standards, ensure compliance with all quality manuals and procedures, and collaborate with contractors and suppliers to maintain the quality of all systems.
  • Monitoring an efficient system, record all project activities, and analyse all processes to ensure all work meets quality requirements.
  • Managing all work methods, maintain knowledge of quality assurance standards, monitor continuous application for all quality assurance processes, and recommend corrective actions for all operations.
  • Developing a method statement for the activity, including risk assessment, job safety environmental analysis, and Inspection

  • Compiling Test Plan and Checklist based on project specifications.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Current CSWIP 3.1 or 3.2 certification
  • Experience in heavy engineering
  • Familiar with structural drawings
  • Confident in the use of various computer software, including Office 365.
  • Valid driving license

ROLE OVERVIEW

  • Time Served Plater, with minimum 1 years experience working with structural steel

  • Able to read engineering drawings, measure and check components and other basic skills including grinding
